Welcome to Diasporic Africa Press

Diasporic Africa Press is an academic publisher of books about African world history and culture. As a not-for-profit organization, our mission is to publish works that further scholarship and quality education throughout Africa and the world. Our press publishes scholarly research that is accessible to readers, contributes to knowledge about the African world, and built on research and reflection. More broadly, we consider works that engage important matters in the areas of African and African diasporic history and culture, providing a literature which promotes inquiry and substantive discussion.
We do not accept unsolicited manuscripts; such materials, on receipt, will be recycled. For potential authors, please consult our Information for Authors. We publish several titles a year so we take the necessary time to produce thoughtful and well-crafted works. To that end, the following projects below represent some of our titles in progress with more to come. For general inquires, please contact us.
